Getting the Pontiac engine back together, going to install COOL-FLEX radiator hoses, you can't see to good in the picture but the intake has metal flake.

I'm curious, does any of it chip when you tighten down bolts? Did you have to run a thread chaser down the threaded parts?
I've never had anything powder coated before.................

Powder coating puts on a coat that can be thick, all the thread holes are covered with a high heat masking tape, the bolt holes on my pulleys came out a little smaller, I had to scrape away some coating with a knife so the bolts would fit. As long as the parts are prepared good you should not have any chipping, so far all my parts were sandblasted, I torked my intake to factory specks with no cracking and chipping. I got my engine together (except radiator hoses) and it even started!!!

On the roadster, I updated my external regulator alternator to the alternator that has an internal regulator, I also wired up a Voltage Gage in place of the AMP Gage, I seem to have a flow of 16.5 volts is this normal?

They really don`t have anything else much to talk about over there, boring when everyone kisses each others butt. I would drag the T-Bucket if it had a roll cage, it only weighs 1600lbs

The site was UBRF...... which is now NYSpeed.com. Pretty interesting site, there are A LOT of young kids on there so it can be juvenille at times, but there's also a lot of useful info there too.
