One guy asked me to reoffer at $2500 so i did he is out of florida so i already said all checks or any item MUST clear both banks before the car moves and he didn't have a problem, and that shipping is fully on him, i will not send money to anyone or pay for any portion.

I would try to deal with a bank that both could use, hsbc for example. Scamer are making fake usps money orders, we talking things that should be the safest isn't safe. thing is if you rush it the more you can cost yourself. I personally would work with the bank, like hsbc, and have it clear where there is no threat before I ship. When your bank says its ok and you won't get slapped later by fee's and a charge backs I would then let the car go. Here is a nice site for selling a car, take your time, guy probably work out to be fine, just take your time and make the transaction smooth. remember both seller/buyer are taking a chance, you with the money order and him with the car he never seen, as remember to write as-is lol. cars.kbb.com/go/advice/Story.jsp?section=sell&story=sellTips&subject=how_sellI think Benny and Swi have sold more cars then me, I sure they offer some good advice.

I told him that it may be a slower process for just the same reasons and he didn't have a negative reaction. Hopefully everything works out great, and we all end up happy!

i was also wondering if someone could give me a brief checklist on selling and shipping to avoid being ripped off. This is the first item i have ever sold on ebay! I have sold and bought cars on Ebay, the main thing when selling, make sure you have the money before the car leaves, only take money orders, or the green backs (cash), you should not have any out of pocket expenses, if the buyer wants it shipped the buyer makes all the arangements to have ship, the only thing I helped the buyer with when he came for a car I sold on ebay was I gave him a jump start

Technically what a lot of people don't know is that when they sell a vehicle they are supposed to remove both the inspection sticker and the registration sticker. If someone drives the car, the cops can still go after the person who's registration sticker was on the car.
Many years ago, a friend of mine sold a Chevelle. The new owner proceeded to slat plates on it off another car and go out and roll it and mess up a friend who was riding with him. Police were interested as the registration sticker of my friend wasstill on it and he was contacted and asked for "proof of insurance" which he had already transferred to another car....
