I just don't understand the different screen names, nailhead, my2cents, OSC. Its easy to see who it is, isp # gives it away, why not just use one name and let the card fall as they may. Why play games that your sick of, just wondering. One more question, I never thought you be on moonans side. Joe......first off......how much credibility would a known friend of the bunch from over here have over there? Peole associate me with some imfamous people who post here and discount my viewpoints. Second......do you really think that for one minute I didn't think camaro123085 may have been Moonan himself? I was playing with him and I had him right where I wanted him. third.......where the screen names go......beware! I do that a lot. Do you guys think I'm so naive that I wasn't aware of ISP's? I was a moderator for a short while you know. And I'm not the only person in cyberspace who does that. If you guys don't know me by now, you probly never will. I enjoy stirring the pot.  Energizing forums is second best hobby......boy did I have fun that time over on that GTO forum when I insisted that a Riv GS is a musclecar. ;D ( conceded that a while ago, I just never told anybody) And the games I'm sick of are not forum talk as you inferred.......what I said was that I'm sick of the crapp that goes on at the car shows around here, as is many other people who prefer not to speak up. Votes being thrown out.....sponsor picks being manipulated......one guy gets blown off while another gets 6......be it by computer program or by idiot with a jar full of fitty-fitty tickets (insert cow smiley here) ;D I'm not afraid to be called names, just let me have it! I can take it! And if I'm in a good mood maybe my response might be funny. (bad mood, then look out)  But don't lock topics, delete my posts, and ban me just because you don't want my opinions to be read here on the forums. Don't rile me up, now Joe! Local shows, anything can happen. Thats all you ask is the people try, if they do a good show people will return. Everyone expects different things from shows, expectations are different, so everyone can't be happy. rile you up, i never do that  |

Nailhead I fail to see the comparison. Moonan was "accused" of throwing out votes in a show billed as participant's choice and substituting his own choices. Our show does discredit certain votes where apparent impropriety seems to be going on (IE. you vote for yourself or big groups come in and steal all the awards just cause they have more buddies.) It is clearly stated in our rules and billed as a show that works that way far in advance. Also these deduction criteria are applied to everyone's votes. Every single person's ballot is scrutinized by the computer and the computer uses preset logic to apply the same deduction rules to everyone. Do you have a better way to make participant chosen shows fairer for the little guy who doesn't come to shows in packs. I agree and even said so on my site if what Jim was accused of is true I think it is wrong. I don't see how anyone could compare what we do to that even by the widest stretch of the imagination.
As for my comment about you being bitter on our site it had to do with the big deal you were making out of chuck getting more then one award. As i mentioned that was 2+ years ago now and it was a rookie mistake on our part basically. Even though it was our second show it was a new voting/judging system (so technically a first time run). We've corrected it for last years show and are following the corrected way of doing things again this year. I guarentee nobody will be getting 6 awards. To be honest I don't even care much for Chuck's car, it's too ricy for my taste, I can guarentee he didn't get all those awards because he was my buddy. He got them because as I said lots of sponsors, kids, etc... picked him. With multiple sponsor picks we've eliminated that scenario. Why you still have a stone in your shoe about it all these years later I can't understand; and thus the bitter comment.
As to why the topic was closed and you were banned. Well experience has taught me some people are as you call them pot stirrers, your buddy terzmo/benny is one of them. I don't mind an occasional dig or negative comment, but enough is enough. You came back on our site with this new name and first 8 or so posts all you did was badmouth others, and us. I used to be way more lenient on that. Lets say maybe I learned from my mistakes. I don't want my site a place people go to so they can get pissed off at each other. If you like that keep playing around here and on other forums, but you won't be doing it on ours.
That's my final say, I won't be commenting more on this incident. I have nothing against this site, won't lie some of the people on it I don't care much for them or at least their posting attitudes. Others I do enjoy, so I may be back on very infrequently to see if there are any worthy disccusions to chime in on.

I'd like nothing more than to see you guys over here posting once in a while without having to be enticed over here with some kind of negetive comment to get you here. I don't think the establishment over here has any interest in preventing people from reading opinions that they don't agree with.......so getting banned or having your topic locked on here is very unlikely. You can't tell me people don't enjoy the ruckus when a topic becomes volatile.......just look at the reads and the interest it generates! Isn't that what your advertisers would want? I meant what I said Johnny......I'd like nothing more than to see you guys posting over here frequently, and that includes Awesome and everyone else. I never meant to hurt anybody's feelings I was just having fun. Believe me, I know you guys personally, and If I have something to say that I want to inflict hurt, I'll tell the person to their face. We started this forum a few years back to sorta give the old iron talk a place to post without getting into a conflict with other members, I feel everyone on this forum is a good person, and I have no issues with anyone from any forums. Joe and Johnny your forum is great top notch, its a professional forum, this forum is more less a hobby. Every member on this forum has taken some kind of abuse one way or another, it hasen`t been sugar and spice and everything nice over here,but its all in fun. You guy have put alot of work into your show and it is one of the largest in the area, I could never dream of a show that big, I understand you guys getting upset with negative commits about it, but we all been their, I have had negitive commits also about my show, (we have 55 members at the fire company that all have their own idea on how to run a show) and a few posts back I left a few commits about a cruise and show I attended, as you know you can`t please everyone, its been this way years ago and will continue to be this way in the furture I don`t try and please everyone anymore. Remember you guys are welcome to post here just as I post on your forum. thanks RAY |

Time for me to add my 2 cents. I joined this forum because I actually enjoyed the heated discussions that went on between the banned members on rodand piston and realized that many of them moved over here. I know that many of you do not share the same views as I do (especially on the new vs old), but I think that makes it fun. Joe Jr and John anre two great guys in my opinion and run a great site, but I don't agree with them all the time either. I personally have had bad experiences at Moonan shows (and before you say anything, I was with my dad who has a really sweet 66 Nova, so no "new" bashing, although I can take it !!). I don't plan on going back, but I know nothing of putting on a show, so I can't say anything. I do think that the Super Cruise is a great time, but I don't really care if my car wins or gets looked over by judges. I like to look at cool cars and meet new people. Some of my best friends have been met at cruises over the past few years. I guess I'm just trying to say that everyone is entitled to their opinion. I read the post on rodandpiston that got OSC banned and I didn't think he went too far, but I can see how some people might think so. I am glad to see a lot of people over here though (terzmo, nailhead, osc) and look forward to more heated discussion!

As I said, I have nothing but respect for you and Joe Jr. I know I couldn't run a forum anywhere near as well as you two. I also couldn't put on a show as large and well run as the Supercruise. As someone famous once said..... there is a time and place for everything. This seems like the place for highly opinionated stubborn people (I'll fit right in). Most I don't agree with, but enjoy listening. |
