If they're gonna let them in anyway, since their really isn't much that can be done under the hood anyway, how about a best fart can award? Best wing could be another one. Imagine trying to keep one of those engine compartments clean with all the parts packed together so tightly?.......seriously. And it won't be long until all that will be there is a battery under the hood and 4 electric motors behind the wheels! What are they gonna do, paint 'em red? LOL ;D

I really don't think we have to worry, Tom.......those cars are basically un-restorable. And the way the emission laws apply to them, they will forever be un-able to be modified, (aside from cosmetics). Unless of course they are willing to switch everything back each year for inspection. What we have to worry about is the new crap still under factory warranty showing up trying to horn in at our events. They'd better show 'em while they can, I doubt if they'll be around in another 40 years like our cars are. I can't see post-'95 cars passing the emissions test for inspection even with low mileage after they've been driven that long. Dealers don't have to even support parts availability past 5 years. They'll be lucky if these cars are still roadworthy after 5 years and that's just the plain old truth.

I saw his car last night, its a pretty clean car for the age, looks like its been through a couple ideas, that never were completed. He have is work cut out, but its good to see a car end up with somebody that will take care of it, he will make it look nice. It will take some time but in the end I bet it will be a great car.

I doubt if they'll be around in another 40 years like our cars are. I I don't think we be around in 40 more years...weird huh. I often look at an old car and wonder to myself who the old person was who last owned it and if they're still around. Think about it......some of these cars from the 40's and such could have had 2 or more long time owners who have passed away.
