He does a great job, but for some reason he doesn't like to do requests.

Here's a new twist.......a DJ with a turntable and plenty of records. Cruisers could even bring in their own olden goldies for him to play! Records really sound a little better than CD's do anyway....and I have an awesome turntable laying around here somewhere.

I hate to admit it but I believe CD's are much better quality...no needle noise..staic at all

I know what you mean there, but sometimes just a little static is more realistic.......much of my music as I remember it still has the static in it. LOL

I have about 700 lp's

take care of them....some problems with LP's is needles cause friction...albums ware out...I don't think cd's deal with wow..flutter and rumble stats like the old turn tables....cd's like tapes..can be copied.and last far longer than vinyl...I still have some 30 year old equipment in the basement and an old harmon kardon tube amp....top of the line.....in 1962.....lol

That tube amp would sound great today....tube has a great warm sound....I bought most my lp's from people that were getting out into CD's they were bought for cheap also.... I find lp played correct to sound just as good as cd's..but is harder to achive the quality sound that a cd povides..Cassettes and 8tracks were always lame and all mid range...

karmon hardon? LOL Yep, them old tube amps really made some deep bass. I had a Fisher am/fm/multiplex tube type tuner but I kissed it goodbye in a garage sale a while back. It had that really cool tube that lit up blue with the tuning indicator bars in it. Now I'm kicking myself, I could have probably gotten much better money for it on ebay.

Cassettes were a better answer to the 8 track.....reel to reel was the cadillac sound in the 70's. I hated that clicking/interruption the 8 tracks had

Seen some DJ's out there now that don't even use CD's! Too much to carry you know! All in a computer as MP3s..........Carry around the computer and its all there.
I have about 3000 albums! Anyone looking for anything? Certain rarities I will not part with, but I have a lot of stuff I will let go. Definitely will not part with my collection of car music................
Still have my reel to reel, 8-track recorder, and cassette deck. But for that matter I still have Beta, VHS, and CED for video............... Not to mention, I have a wind up Victrola console.
