LOL! It's a 4 door hardtop. I'll try to post pictures once we pick it up. 95gts---I was kinda hoping for that look too! ;D
This is not a gcc trade-in, but the story behind it is pretty good. Somebody sold it on e-bay, but the buyer never showed up. The seller contacted a lawyer because he wanted the car out of there. The lawyer was able to find out that this guy had bought a bunch of cars on e-bay, but all with bad checks. This particular seller cashed the check right away and it cleared, but apparently the buyer was afraid to pick it up because he would get caught for paying the others with bad checks. From there on in, it was just a matter of people buying it cheap, storing it, reselling it, etc. Maybe this was meant to be for me?

I know of the 60's red on because I looked at one in Jamestown about a year ago, problem was getting it back and getting parts, not exactly a easy car to get parts for. I went up to the guy with the red one at polish falcons, said hey nice polara, He was shocked that I knew what the hell it was. He was cool but the car was a boat, thing was huge, furcillo huge, lol. Nice cars but not for me. I like the half fin stuff to , unique. There is also a nice 72 roadrunner on ebay from around here, cool car.

Congrats on your new purchase!!! Enjoy!!!
I saw the Red Plymouth Satellite / Roadrunner CLONE on ebay. With some work it could be a nice car. I don't really care for cloning a car. Leave it alone and restore it for what it really is.

Story on the red 60 Polara in Akron. For years people had asked me if I knew where it was as it was a supposed legend in town just sitting in a guys garage, but no-one knew where in akron. I grew up in Akron. For the most part we considered it to be an urban legend for the MOPAR people. A 60 Polatra convertible with a cross ram would be like finding the big block vette or 427 Cobra in a widows garage. I had heard the story of the Polara many times, didn't beleive it. Turns out the guy lived 2 miles from my house, bought the car new, and in 66 or so had a kid and went to trade it in on a Baracuda. They offered peanuts for trade in so he parked it in his garage where it stayed until his retirement when he finally took it to be professionally restored. Worse part is, the guy lived on my wifes mail route, but the door to the garage was never open so she didn't spot it........... Car is an extremely high dollar car, almost impossible to get parts for...........would command the big bucks at Barrett Jackson.
If I only could have found it at the right time, I may have been able to talk him out of it.............

I still have it, but haven't done anything to it. It kind of ended up on the back burner and that's where it sits. Interested?

Leave it alone and restore it for what it really is. REDRIDER...........nice score! cookin.........have you seen how much $$$$ some original musclecars are going for? some of us could never afford the real thing......i suggest you watch barret jackson this year! for example, last year there were a few well done clones that sold there for big bucks. one i remember was a '68 belvedere gts 440, changed to a 426 hemi car and sold for over 100 grand. i can't believe the price some of these cars are getting. even well done clones are becoming un-affordable. if i remember correctly, a '70 chevelle ss 396 race car with very low miles went for something like 2 million! even the cheapest numbers matching musclecars in good show condition were going over 50 grand. what's the point of owning an original car worth too much money to even drive and enjoy? just my opinion here.......i'll take the clone, save a lot on the insurance, not worry about having it stolen, enjoy all the thumbs up, cry less when the paint gets chipped, and most of all.........ENJOY DRIVING THE CAR, what it was meant for in the first place.
