my car must of been a friday car when she was on the line getting assembled back in 1965, nothing major but I noted when taking the cargo carpet out that I had to pieces of chrome trim that was stuck together on the left side of the carpet, anyone need one I have an extra, talk about having parts left over, lol, also I have a little more space between the top of the car and the the driprail on the passenger side, then on the driver side, top was welded a little more to the left, maybe it was a monday hang over car

Back around 1978 I worked for a Ford dealership. that's the first time I ever heard the expression "Friday Car". these cars would keep coming back to us for "noises", screws in the heater ducts, extra pieces inside the doors, or in the channels under the carpets...............even once found a beer can inside a door.......................Great Quality Control..............

Quality control didn't start till the jap Crap started to make it's run and impact on the Big Three. Still behind in that area. I had a 80 chrysler lebaron wagon and had to tear the entire dash out to replace the heater core. The parts associated with the job were dated back to as early as 74. Mix and match was in vogue back then. "Guaranteed till the wheels hit the curb"
