Kanter auto, gave me an estimate of 8 weeks to get a factory exhaust, for about $400, I decided to get a system made locally for about the same price but with duel exhaust and flow-masters.

I was never in it for the money. I've had my 66 Coronet since 1973. And luckily for me over the years I have squirreled away enough extra pieces to last me for awhile. including that elusive wheel well trim and rocker chrome. I bought some of the hard to get stuff back when it was relatively "cheap" I remember going to Carlisle and finding an NOS rear diecast panel for the 66 Coronet 500. My wife nearly died when I paid $150 for it from Mitchell. That was back in 1984. Now that piece goes for about $2000. To me searching for parts has been half the fun..........not as easy as ordering out of a catalog. I like the hunt! So I hit all the little swap meets, and every once in awhile I find gold. More often than not I come home empty. Getting out with the car has been fruitful as well. One time at Rookies a guy came up to me and said he had one of those die cast panels for the trunklid of my 66. Turned out it was NOS, and I got it for $100, also picked up some other NOS and used Coronet parts he had in his basement which turned out came with a 67 Coronet he bought!
And yeah, I have put money in that 62 Valiant..........I don't expect it to set a record at Barrett Jackson. I drive the car and have fun with it.
I could take this hobby and turn it into a business. For me that would take the fun out of it. so I deal in somewhat low buck cars..............have my fun.
Probably could sell them all and get my life out of debt. (Don't tell my wife that!)Or buy a trophy queen and trailer it. Most of what I got I pretty much did myself.

Swi that little Valiant is priceless, we had one like that in our family, let me know when and if you want to sell it. I`m not in it for the $$$$ I`ll never get out what I got into my 53 Plymouth, or what I got in my 65 Plymouth, the fun is bringing an old car back to it glory days

Being in business has some advantages. One is being to drive cars you thought were great and finding out it's not so and vice versa.(driven, sold just about all the muscle cars and pony cars) I enjoy swap meets but in the off season you have to deal on the net, suppliers, or put the project or a portion of it, on hold for the next season. I'm not patient so I'd rather deal with major supplier's than wait days/weeks/months for a swap meet. You can chalk a trip up to enjoyment, but sometimes the cost of travel/lodging,meals, makes other sources more economical.

Try Steele rubber products, or A&M sofseal.............both should be on the internet, and one or the other would be the supplier for anyone else...........
