My experence with Year One is they have fast shipping with tracking, customer service seems inexperenced with parts, they would rather say they don`t have it, then look a part up.

Barnes Metal Finishing, great for rechroming small items, and polishing, they made my aluminum headlight rings, and grill look like new, also they do all my small stuff, Tri-cty plating in Tenn. seems good with the bumper rechroming

Barnes is very good but increased the price from the estimate. Year one and paddock have done well. Going to try tri city for bumpers only because they are cheaper than bumper boyz. Did have a bad bumper with bumper boyz but was impressed with their return policy. Good forme because I go to alot of nationalk shows, but if shipping, bad for someone who has to ship. (cost)

Year one prices are a about 10%-15% more then anyone elses, but if they have good service I don`t mind to pay a little extra. My bumper from Try-City cost $265 plus core charge of $50 plus $35 shipping, total is $340.00 for rechromed bumper, and what they call show chrome, and $50 back with core return

I had great luck with Legendary interior.Have even been to their shop in Newark a couple times. Of course two of my cars have been featured on the cover of their catalogs........ The guy I had install my upholstery even commented on how well they fit. I wonder how much upholstery from Year one actually came from Legendary. And I know Year Ones carpeting comes from Auto Custom Carpets. Year one is a clearing house for all the other people who make restoration parts. Does Year one actually manufacture anything? Or do they distribute and add to the cost, for their profit.
Last thing I bought from Year One was an Underhood wiring harness for my 66 Coronet. It was made by someone else and sold through Year One.

Big deal. Does Sear'smake all their stuff. How about most any department store ?? Does TOPS grow their own veggies/beef/grain products ??I'm not a year One Booster but to Me it doesn't matter if a place made it or not. I consider price and quality, nothing else really matters much except possibly delivery time.

ya right who cares. as long as I got my Legendary seat skins, with out the hassle of waiting 2 months thru Year One, or the hassle of dealing with the knuckle heads at Legendary

Got a ton of parts from Ebay, since I`m not restoring a mustang, camaro, Chevelle or 57 chevy, parts for a `65 Barracuda are far and few between, wish I could of found a donor car. next time maybe a GM, ;D ;D

Do a GM!!!!!!!!!!! What, are you nuts, MOPAR Rules!
Actually, if you want to do a GM, I can hook you up with a Corvair...........
Year One is sort of like a Wal Mart.............yes I have bought from them, but only if I can't find it elsewhere cheaper...........
I do know for a fact that anyone selling their items through Year One has to sign an exclusivity contract meaning they agree not to sell their items anywhere else. This has kept a couple of vendors I know of from selling through Year One as they love to do the swap meets like Carlisle and the Nats and meet their customers. Note Year One comes to these major events and brings nothing but catalogs...............

What would you expect them to come with They give out the pens/notepads/9 inch rulers just like everyone else does. I've had positive experience with them. What other vendor has a tech site. helped me twice. I just don't understand the "home grown " position. GM is probably the easiest and cheapest to restore if doing a camaro or chevelle. Mustangs are even easier as the early ones were very simple. Mopars are good if doing an e-body or 68 on up B body. A bodies are hit and miss. 67 and down mopars are very hard to find parts for in some/most cases. Try finding wheel well trim for a 66 coronet 500 or 67 R/T or GTX. Rocker chrome is available at 300 a pair. YIKES...And the return on a 67 and below Mopar is poor unless involving a hemi/max wedge car. (of course there are exceptions, few, and I really don't care to hear how some friend or relative got thousands for a 4 door six cylinder valiant)
