I remember the last time about 5 years ago when I tried doing a brake torque in the Riv before I reworked my tranny. Quite embarassing to say the least when the tires wouldn't even crack loose. Couldn't figure it, so I just blamed it on the cam. So today I was out on a joy ride on one of those long, lonely Niagara County back roads, and I figured what the heck, no embarassment if nobody's watching right? Besides, I haven't really got to play with my new tranny yet. Mrs. Nailhead would kill me. Holy crap! I don't know if my old one was slipping or what that day, but this time that 'ol Nailhead really tore up some pavement! I left a huge cloud of smoke, and even after it shifted into second gear (at 5200 RPM ), the tires were still spinning.......I had to let off the gas before it hit third. She wanted to keep going......two long black marks on the road.......I mean this thing was screaming! Last time I put on a smokeshow like that was the last day of auto tech school back when they still made leaded gas! Anybody know where I can get a deal on 2 new tires now??
