Do you really think ebay is the best place to sell a car? I've seen more scams there involving cars than anything else.

I had the same problem with my '76 Cutlass. I had it listed here, rod&piston, postaroo, Ebay, etc.. I finally sold it on cardomain.com. The funny thing was it was not even listed as being for sale. Sold to a guy in Bosie, ID.. I would love to have the STUDE!!! It is a Unique car IMO...

There's got to be a Studebaker club or some kind of Studey publication you could list it in for sale. Sometimes by marketing it to a crowd who is interested in that kind of car you will get the most $$$ for it.

This Stude is a modified car............the purists are not interested in that. Not every car sells on e-bay, some do, but the Stude may be one of those rides that falls between the cracks, it appeals to a more specific audience, if it was a Ford or Chevy it would be gone by now. Pics look nice to me................but I am car poor, have too many, have to downsize myself.

Lots of good cars don't sell anymore........... My 64 Bird I have for sale, not that many want a project car, and if they did they want a muscle car, but then again they want one for nothing and are not willing to pay what they are going for...............Even at Barrett Jackson, certain Rods did not sell for what was invested in them.................people there are going for the Big name rodders, or else they are not paying the money.
I have a 66 Dodge Coronet Convertible, minor modifications from back in my high school days, I've had that car that long. But I still get some people asking why I don't put the original; shifter back in it, or why I don't change this or that................purists don't like changes.
And sometimes a car like the Stude just has to have the "right" buyer..............one will come along and buy it, sooner or later.

I didn't know the Studebaker was modified. To a certain degree, I'm a purist myself......it all depends on what was sacrilidged. Modified studey OK, sounds kinda cool....but I'd have to see it. There's a few modified Studeys floating around here, I've seen them. So there is an interest, it's just that when you sell anything that's modified, if it ain't in the buyer's taste, he won't be interested. Is it chopped? That always hurts, b/c a chopped car is disfigured permanently, unless the buyer is willing to spend major $$$ to bring it back to it's original look.
