Here's how to post smilies

OK guys, since this message board is so cheesey and the smiley selection is limited, and many members have been asking I'll give you guys the Nailhead tutorial:




The first thing you have to do is find a smiley you like, then you need to get the CODE........

Let's use this one.......

You do that by RIGHT CLICKING on the image. Then click on "PROPERTIES".........

Under "ADDRESS" in that window it will show
" www.cybergifs.com/faces/shocked4.gif "

Then what you need to do is put that ADDRESS in between IMG quotes. You can do that by first clicking on this button in the toolbar above our smilies and just inserting the CODE inbetween the ][ .

Or just type this manually: CODE [/img}

(I had to substitute a } where a ] belongs in order to make the command show up but you should get the picture)

I use the copy and paste method to copy the codes. It works like this:

Left click holding the mouse button down and drag it across this...........

" http://w w w.cybergifs.com/faces/shocked4.gif "

It should highlight, or turn blue..........

Then press "Cntrl" and "C" at the same time. (That's COPY)

Your computer will store that series of letters until you do this:

When you press "Cntrl" and "V" it will paste what you highlighted into where you are typing. (that's PASTE)



That's what I meant when I said to insert the code inbetween these ][ .........you do it using COPY and PASTE by putting the cursor inbetween those 2 symbols.

Heck, if I can do it anybody can..........computers frustrate me horribly and if really understood them I'd become a computer nerd. So many times I came close to having a broken window with a smashed computer laying outside it on the front lawn.
