I'll bet that was a pre-cursor to the AAA

That sign has been in my garage for maybe 6 years. Covered with flat black paint with the word "eggs" written on it. One of the pieces that were going to be thrown away when my grandfather passed away. I brought it home from his house as I thought something was underneath his use of the sign. A friend of mine cleaned the old paint off it for me as he was sick of seeing it stuck in the corner of my garage. I remember him using the sign out front of his house when he sold eggs when I was a kid.........so I know the sign was at least 40 years old. Someone else beleives it could be as old as the 30's or older. Pre AAA. So far, internet searches have not turned anything up. As for selling it..........I have had a few offers already, and someone else speculated what they thought it might be worth, more than I originally would have guessed. In any event, I do collect automobilia, so it is pretty much sticking arounbd for awhile. Still trying to find out about the Buffalo Auto Owners Association though............
And thanks Ray, for posting the picture for me! I still have to learn how to reduce file size.

I don't blame you Gary for not wanting to get rid of it. It is a cool old sign and has been in the family a long time. I would keep it too.

Aside from the rust on the side, it's in excellent shape
