what happened was I was trying to remove the board from being an announcement, and it was deleted by mistake

Sometimes it is the duty of the administrators to "clean up" the forum site.
I have at times deleted threads, just didn't say anything about them.
Mostly announcing events that are long over and discussion dead.
Hey............I was given the power of the "delete" key...................
