Sorry, but no car, I don't care what it is, is worth that kind of coin. I'd keep the 5 mill, buy the 1/4 million Hemi Mopar, then just be happy and retire with the rest......and then move to Arizona where the weather is warmer in the winter! Maybe then I could at least enjoy the darned thing 12 months out of the year.

I think it was, but he sold it to another person who then sold it on BJ. I thought I heard them say that on today's segment.

The .5 million could very well be a combination of all the fees involved.
Car is definitely a piece of history.
does anyone remember the Bill Cosby comedy routine about the Shelby cobra called 200 MPH, well cosby owned the second one of them. Later it was returned, resold and destroyed. So the one and only Super Snake is that one..........................

They DESTROYED it? ? What a waste! I'm convinced those people playing the game over at BJ are all a bunch of a$$hats........buyers and sellers included! All they are succeeding in doing is making our hobby too expensive and unaffordable.......it will potentially suck all the fun out the hobby. Wait until the government figures there's money for them to grab from all us "rich" cruisers! You'll see a antique automobile tax.......thanks to all them greedy money grabbers who can afford it! When dented Chevelles and Hemi clones start selling for over 60 grand it proves there's a problem. It's nice to know our cars are appreciating, but it's all going to come back and bite us in the eventually unless the bubble pops soon.

I should have clarified the "destroyed" part of my comment on the Cobra Super Snake. Guy went over a cliff into the Pacific Ocean with it.................I do not know if it was intentional or not. But a car of those performance capabilities, well .......It's east to exceed the drivers abilities.

Even if it was accidental..........still a waste! That's not the kind of car you drive........for some reason that doesn't sound right.

Back when it happened, it was just an expensive and outrageous toy, not in anyones dreams would it be expected to be ever worth 5 mil. Hey, who ever thought Muscle cars would be valuable?
Even today, how many have killed themselves because they could not handle a Viper, or a GT 40?
There have been plenty of GT 40's that have been wrecked from salesmen just trying them out.........and losing it!
