I was reading somewhere, about the wooden parts that are in some older cars. I was surprised, to see that my 65 Plymouth Barracuda has a carpeted wooden divider from the factory, that folds down, giving more cargo space, I wounder if their are any cars newer then 65 that had wooden parts from the factory installed

Lotta high buck cars have used real wood in the interiors around the instrument clusters, in door panels, etc. Not just the fake stuff we see most of the time. Somewhere in the 60's, I beleive it was triumph or Morgan? still used wood in the body framing...........and yeah, it rotted............
Wood is pretty expensive to work with and restore. Just ask anyone with a Woodie wagon, or one of those old Chrysler Town and Countries.
There are a lot of pickups that have used wood in the bed areas. Tom Chaapel just re-did his wood in the bed of his 65 1-ton Dodge pickup with the 9 foot box. I have seen wood in the beds of some Chevy's in the 70's, and there was still some real wood used in the Little Red Wagons in 78-79.
Henry Ford, way back when had his own lumbering operations for the wood for his cars..............

the thick plywood used on my Barracuda is still in good shape, I can just imagine the wood that was used on some cars that was exposed to the weather didn`t last long.

My car has wood veneer in the center console. It was really bad, and the only guy who made reproductions was too difficult to deal with. So I went to home depot and bought some veneer and cut my own pieces with a straightedge and an exacto knife.........worked great and they look original. ;D
