Going to the chrome shop this morning. They wrecked one bumper and didn't do a complete job on the other. Mt Son's were not done as of last thursday and was told they would be done yesterday. He called thursday...Friday...saturday....yesterday...to say NOT to do it, just give them back. He also e-mailed. Guess what....not ONE returned call. In case anyone has forgotten, this is TRIPP PLATING on william street in buffalo. This is gonna cost me a bunch.

They don't return calls. I saw Him yesterday and He admitted He lied and led Me on. Said He would call My Son about His bumpers. I get the feeling He is not accepting liability for the ruined bumper and wants full payment for the other. When this is over, I'll post His e-mail

Receipt One thing I learned from the fiasco I went through getting mine done is it's better to have straight cores, and to get them done one at a time. It sounds to me like they over did it with the belt sander on Benny's bumper and that's what made the hole.......it would probly cost more to have a piece welded in and fixed than to just buy another core. Don't let them get away with that, Tom.....stand your ground. I don't think they know what they're doing over there. (like most bumper joints) Why should you have to pay for a new core when it's their screw up? Get in their face, be a royal pain in ass, and don't accept no for an answer. Go into the owner's office like I did and raise hell........maybe you'll get the other one free. At least make them subtract the cost of a new core.

being to court a few times, I have learned it's a tough road to victory. It's understood they accepted the bumpers to re-chrome but He could lie and say somthing like " I told the owner that the bumper was bad but He wanted Me to try anyways" Nothing is written down as far as acceptance condition and the only other witness was My Son. Is that going to help?? I do think I could use this forum as evidence as far as how long He had the bumpers and it could support the fact He dragged this out. I will try to get the bumper core charge at the least. I'll keep you posted. Oh yes, yesterday He said He would call My Son right away and inform Him of the status of HIS bumpers.......You guessed it....no call.

Tom, sorry to hear all that, I know how you feel,Sounds like the same crap Brother`s Custom Bone, did to me. I ended up having my attorney send them a letter, custom bone responded quick to me saying the bumper was done, but they wanted $100 more then quoted, I was Lucky to find another bumper for the 53 Plymouth for $50 and told Custom Bone to stick the bumper up their a$$, I never did get that bumper from custom bone.
Tri-City is great, they rechromed a bumper they had in stock for my 65 Plymouth, and sent it out to me within 2 weeks it only cost $350, and thats with a $50 core charge.

Son went to get the bumpers today and they refused to credit anything for screwing My bumper up. Son says his came out ok. He had to get them to put a guarantee in writing. They initially said.."don't worry,we'll remember You"....lol...I'm going there tuesday and have a one on one with the owner...keep ya'll posted
