Funny thing, many years ago a guy in Chicago did this to get a siphon started. Once the siphon got started he went to shut off the vacuum cleaner and found it on fire...................
Story circulated and the Chicagoland Corvair Enthusiasts got together one year for an outing at a members shop. They brought along a whole bunch of worn out vacuums and spent the afternoon drinking beer and watching vacuums burn. They made a videotape of it and sent it to america's funniest videos. It was never aired, but they did receive a reply questioning their sanity and pointing out they never would air a video encouraging such reckless behavior..............
