Not to lessen the car.....but I graduated high school in '77. This one guy had one of those, same body but I thought it was a '73? Anyhow, it was a Roadrunner with a 360 in it. All he did to it was port the heads. No cam or anything, just a stock smogger. This kid thought he had the fastest car in the parking lot. (Cardinal O'Hara HS). Moving on.....I had my 'old '66 Riv, 425, much like what I have now. I listened to that guy brag for over 2 years about his car and how fast it was. I always kept silent, just letting him run off his mouth, just waiting for "someday". So on the last day of school, "someday" was here. I had just rebuilt my motor, and I challenged him to a race. There must have been about 20 guys watching......most of them rooting for me, they were sick of hearing it too.....I could have lost my license, but we raced down one of those long streets that from the school to Delaware Rd. (forgot the name) about 3/4 of a mile. Well, I beat him so badly, and after leaving 2 black marks in the road about 5 feet long, I had to wait at the corner for him to catch up to me. He never even got close. I remember looking down at the speedo and seeing 90 MPH. If my dad would have seen me do that he would have taken the car away from me. LOL

Could be a decent car, there isn't many of them left! Most likely a 318, but those last forever.............

here I was waiting for "I hit the gas and 8 tracks went everywhere...." LMAO Actually, 8 tracks were out in my "day"......cassettes were the hot tomale. I remember going into Record Theatre on Main and Lafayette and seeing wall to wall casettes, as records were being phased out. And then Record Theater got phased out too.
