I need some help from the Dodge Experts out there. I have an opportunity to purchase a 1997 Dodge Intrepid. It has a 3.3 litre engine with 77,000 miles. I've never owned a Dodge before. I'm looking for any information good or bad on this make and model.
Thank you.

My son has one he bought for his wife. no real problems other than the AC compressor was bad when they got it and too expensive to fix..........supposedly common on these. So no cold air. For the most part, parts are fairly common.
And remember, if the "check engine" light is on it won't pass NY Inspection.

Thanks for the information. The Intrepid I'm looking has an A / C problem as well. I agree, the A / C compressors are extremely expensive. I had used one replaced in my 94 Buick Century and that was not cheap. I believe I was quoted approximately $800 for a new compressor for the Century. I'll roll down the windows...
